First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange has made a long-term commitment to build a house for a Habitat for Humanity homeowner every three years.

The first house was built in 2005 at 1051 Polk Street in LaGrange. Gina Adams and her three children moved in in November, 2005. The 2008 build will commence on Saturday, March 15th at 9:00 a.m. following a groundbreaking ceremony at the worksite, two lots down from the home of Ms. Adams. Other Troup County Presbyterian churches are supporting the effort. Volunteers worked at the Habitat headquarters in January to pre-build all the interior and exterior wall panels. If you have an interest in helping participate in this build, either by doing worksite construction, preparing meals for Saturday workdays or making a donation, please contact wendy.zwilling@mindspring.com
